Red carpet, chandeliers, flower baskets, delicious food The award ceremony for the "Endless Discovery Journey to Xialongwan" in Schedule 7 will be held in Xialongwan!
The award ceremony was held in the banquet hall of the Royal Hotel in Xialongwan, where all crew members gathered together to celebrate the impressive results achieved in the competition. The organizing committee of Guangning Province, the partner of the host port, presented a splendid and traditional award banquet for the Clipper International crew. During the ceremony, the organizer arranged a traditional cultural song and dance performance, as well as a wide variety of delicious local delicacies in Guangning Province. Accompanied by fine wine, crew members, guests, and friends from all over the world raised their glasses and celebrated the beautiful moment together.
The host took the stage and started the ceremony. The important organizing committee guests attending the award ceremony included Mr. Deng Xuanfang, the head of the delegation of the National Assembly of Guangning Province, the Deputy Secretary General of the Provincial Party Committee (reference translation), Mr. Cao Xianghui, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Guangning Province and the Deputy Secretary General of the Provincial Party Committee (reference translation), and Ms. Ruan Chunlan, the Deputy Director of the Tourism Bureau of Guangning Province (reference translation); Important national guests attending the award ceremony include Mr. Ian Frue, British Ambassador to Vietnam, and Ms. Emily Hamblin, Consul General of the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Ruan Chunlan, Deputy Director of the Tourism Bureau of Guangning Province, was invited to participate in the announcement and award ceremony of the first award of the "Endless Discovery Journey to Xialongwan" competition in Schedule 7.
Also on stage with Ms. Ruan Chunlan was Mark Wright, the competition director of the Clipper Round the World Sailing Race. After taking the stage, Mark first congratulates all crew members on successfully completing the over 4000 nautical mile long race from Elle Beach, Australia: "The Clipper fleet sailed all the way from the Holy Spirit Islands in Australia. The competition of the long voyage race was very exciting. The crew members experienced a variety of weather conditions, crossed the equator, entered the awesome trade wind belt, experienced the difficulties of the wind tunnel in front of the finish line, and finally reached Xialong Bay."
The first announcement is to compete for additional points in the 7th scoring gate of the competition schedule. In this game, only two teams chose to challenge the scoring goal. The second placed team received two points from the "Perseverance" and the highest three point reward was the first placed team, the "UNICEF". Congratulations to both teams for receiving additional points.
The next announcement is the final result of another additional point competition in the Ocean Racing section of this competition. The organizers invite the British Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Ian Frue, to take the stage and present the award flag to the winners of this award.
The United Nations Children's Fund ranked third in the racing range and earned one point; The second place winner is the "Perseverance Number", who received two points of reward; The "Vietnam Xialongwan" that completed the race in the shortest time and won first place was the one that returned to its home port, successfully winning the highest three points reward. Congratulations to the three teams!
红毯、吊灯、花篮、美食.....赛程7“下龙湾无尽发现之旅”颁奖仪式在下龙湾举行！
颁奖仪式在下龙湾皇家大酒店宴会厅举行，全体船员汇聚一堂，共同欢庆上场比赛所取得的骄人战绩。主办港合作伙伴广宁省组委会为广大克利伯国际船员奉上了精彩绝伦、富有当地传统特色的颁奖晚宴。仪式期间，主办方安排了传统文化歌舞表演，还安排了种类繁多、美味可口的广宁省当地美味佳肴，伴着美酒，来自海内外的船员、嘉宾、各方宾朋共同举杯、欢庆美好时刻。
主持人登台开启了仪式活动。出席颁奖仪式的重要组委会嘉宾包括了广宁省国民议会代表团团长、省党委副秘书长邓选方（参考译名）先生、广宁省人民委员会主席、省党委副秘书长曹翔辉（参考译名）先生和广宁省旅游局副局长阮春兰（参考译名）女士；出席颁奖仪式的重要国家嘉宾包括英国驻越南大使伊恩·弗鲁先生和英国驻胡志明市总领馆总领事艾茉莉·汗布林女士。
广宁省旅游局副局长阮春兰女士应邀登台加入到赛程7“下龙湾无尽发现之旅”比赛首个奖项的宣布和颁奖环节。
与阮春兰女士共同登台的还有克利伯环球帆船赛竞赛总监马克·莱特，登台后，马克首先对所有船员顺利完成了从澳洲艾尔利滩出发的4,000余海里长航赛表示祝贺：“克利伯船队从澳大利亚圣灵群岛出发后一路驶来，这段长航赛的比拼非常精彩，参赛船员们经历了多种多样的天气海口、跨越了赤道，之后进入到了相当给力的信风带，经历了终点线前风洞的困然后终于胜利抵达下龙湾。”
首先宣布的是赛程7得分门额外积分争夺成绩。这场比赛中，只有两支赛队选择了冲击得分门，获得第二名拿去两分的是“坚韧不拔号”，拿到最高三分奖励的是第一名“联合国儿童基金会号”，祝贺两支船队喜获额外积分奖励。
接下来宣布的是本场比赛另一个额外积分争夺点-海洋竞速区间的最终成绩，主办方有请英国驻越南大使伊恩·弗鲁先生登台为这一奖项的获得者颁发获奖锦旗。
获得竞速区间第三名的是“联合国儿童基金会号”，收获一分；第二名的是“坚韧不拔号”，拿到了两分奖励；以最短时间完成竞速、获得第一名的正是回归母港的“越南下龙湾号”，成功拿下了最高三分的奖励，在此对三支赛队表示祝贺！
由船长丹·博迪、大副劳拉·汉普顿率领的“联合国儿童基金会号”获得了赛程7季军。
由船长詹姆士·芬尼、大副麦克·戴维斯率领的“珠海号”获得了赛程7亚军。
最后压轴登场的是代表中国帆船之都的“青岛号”赛队，船长菲利普·奎恩、大副亨利·哈雷特携全体船员等待领过赛程7冠军锦旗。
伴随着赛程7各项比赛成绩和积分的尘埃落定，本赛季总积分排行榜的首位也出现易主，“坚韧不拔号”重回榜首位置，领先第二名“勇往直前号”四分，稳居第三的仍然是“珠海号”。
克利伯船队在下龙湾的停靠接近尾声，全体船员将于3月2号星期六起航出发，开启第8赛程，驶向中国赛区第一站：珠海！赛程8航程短，不设立任何任何额外积分争夺点，纯粹的短途竞速赛，预计在3月6日前后抵达珠海。（来源：帆船之都青岛）
