Philip will arrive at Ellie Beach, Australia within the expected arrival window of the competition fleet at the end of the fourth stage in early January 2024. This will give him the time and opportunity to communicate and familiarize himself with the current captain Jeronimo and the crew of the Qingdao before the start of the fifth stage.
There are also changes in the staff of the event that need to be informed: the event manager Grace Keqin will leave her job at the Clipper Sailing Race at the Elle Beach stop in Australia early next year, and will be replaced by the current "Qingdao" team mate Steve Westwood. Steve will end his duties as the "Qingdao" team mate at the Newcastle stop in Australia and begin transitional communication and work handover with Grace, The transition handover will be completed on February 1, 2024.

After Steve leaves the position of Chief Officer on the Qingdao ship, Henry Hallatt will take over. Henry is now 25 years old, but he is already an experienced navigator. At the age of 20, he completed his first circumnavigation of the world, with a personal total of 60000 nautical miles. Having the qualifications of Yachtmaster and yacht control coach, Henry's joining will inject more positive energy into the Clipper team. In his previous sailing experiences, Henry has sailed multiple times across the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans. He looks forward to continuing to challenge his limits and exploring his competitive side by participating in the Clipper Round the World Sailing Race.
史蒂夫离开“青岛号”大副岗位后，接替上任的将是亨利·哈雷特（Henry Hallatt）。亨利现年25岁，但已经是一名经验丰富的航海选手，在20岁的时候就完成了自己人生中的第一次环球航行，个人累计航海里程达到了六万海里。具备Yachtmaster资质、船艇驾控教练资质，亨利的加入将为克利伯团队注入更多正能量。在之前的航海经历中，亨利已经多次航行穿越了大西洋、印度洋和太平洋，他期待着继续挑战自己的极限，通过参加克利伯环球帆船赛来发掘释放自己竞技拼搏的一面。
